Bargains Galore

I've loved shopping for as long as I can remember. The Thrill of the Hunt for bargains pulls me from the comfort of home even when I don't need a thing. My brain tells me there are bargains out there waiting for me. This is not to say that I spend money on anything that stands still. My criteria is that it's needed down the line, or for a gift, or too good to pass up. Ok, that pretty much covers any purchase that I could make! I've found some great things on sale, a solid Pennsylvania Cherry entertainment center years ago for only $100! I was shopping for something else but when I saw it, I calmly asked what they would sell it for...minus the missing glass doors on the front. The excitement nearly makes me faint even now...my heart beats like a hummingbird when I find a bargain!
After Christmas I shop the clearance and buy a few things for next year. This years purchases are pretty slim since I got a late start and the stores are picked over now. But I'm still proud of my 75% off bargains, they will add some extra sparkle to Christmas 2010!

A bargain ain’t a bargain unless it’s something you need. ~ Sidney Carroll

  1. They say retailers stocked a little less this year leaving less for us after Christmas shoppers to find.

We never made it on our after Christmas shopping excursion so I didn't get to add to the gift closet. I try to keep my GC stocked with some all occasion items, hostess gifts, etc. Guess, that means I'll have to make some extra shopping trips in the very near future - JOY!!!

  2. I love after Christmas sales too, and love the thrill of the hunt. lol!! However, the only place I made it to this year was Borders, but they were practically giving books away, it was awesome!!
Enjoy your Sunday, wish I could do some bargain hunting today. ;)

  4. I am a SERIOUS bargain shopper! I find great deals all the time. I've really gotten into the coupon game too. If I have a coupon for something and it is on sale and after using said coupon it costs me nothing. I will go ahead and get it even if I don't need it! I give things like that away to others who do need it!

With all of the snow and icy roads I haven't made it out to shop this year yet! lol I'll take that back I did make it to Target and Sams. There wasn't any good bargains that I wanted.

    Have a Blessed Day!

  5. I ducked out yesterday for local sales but there wasn't a lot left. Maybe I'll have better luck on President's Day. I'm a fellow bargain hunter.

Had to laugh at your last post re: "leftovers" I seem to do the same thing of not letting even the smallest bit go to waste.

  7. I was so sad to miss the 90 percent off at Hobby Lobby. It was just to cold and snowy to go out when the daycare kids went home. Oh well (o:
When I go to garage sales and hit the really Super Good sale... I get that same hummingbird feeling. I always laugh at myself and say "Calm down before you pass out at a Garage Sale". Hee Hee
