Light Bulb Moment

I'm getting all my chickens turkeys in a row, I should say I'm planning my ATTACK! It's the weekend before the big day and I'm not talkin' about Thanksgiving. That's under control... I have my menu planned, I have "most" of the ingredients in house and I even have the dishes out that I'm using this year.

The attack I'm gearing up for is Black Friday. That day when you get up early, fight the crowds and get the bargains of the season. Well, that's what I've always thought. I'm just saying I had an epiphany when I realized that I could get the special buy on the boots if I bought them today... how could that be???
Black Friday's price $39.50/regular price $79.00)

Black Friday's price $19.99/regular price $69.00
That's a total of $60+ tax. So this morning after I had read the paper, checked my Facebook and email, looked at how many comments I had on yesterdays' blog...I looked at Belks' ad.
It said the boot was $47.50 (40% off) today...

... and this one was $34.99 (50% off) today.
THAT comes to $82.50+tax. I used my Belk coupons to subtract $30 off my purchase...that made the boots cost $52.49... LESS than Black Friday's prices!!! Whoo Hoo!
That made me do the HaPpY DaNcE!

I plan on sleeping in then having a leisurely breakfast 10ish!!!

  1. It is amazing how many people don't actually THINK about things like this ... you are my kind of shopper, Joy. Now for you to MODEL these beauties.

I shop all year until October & then I STOP, I don't find holiday shopping Ho-Ho fun at all ... no spirit or joy in 99% of the shoppers. I have my Christmas cards done by Nov. 1 yearly & I am set ... Thurs. the tree goes up so all family members get to see it.

    Have a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday

  2. Oh no Mary, these are for my daughter Stephanie! One pair from us and the other from her husband. My poor old feet would cramp up into a crescent moon shape and fall off! You are way ahead of me on Christmas cards, normally I am almost finished with them by now and ready to mail the first week of December...not this year!

  3. Better to enjoy your nice, cozy home than be out with the masses. That just screams headache to me.

  4. When I saw those boots, I thought that I couldn't wear them if I wanted to and then...where would I wear them.

For your daughter, now I understand. We will go to great lengths for our children. Glad you found them an easier way.

  8. What a great bargain! I love a bargain and today I found one. I have been eyeing a wine cooler for months but didn't want to pay &399.00 for it. My husband saw it on sale at Lowe's yesterday. I leaped up, and said lets get to Lowe's NOW! We burned rubber getting there. I purchased the last one for $215.00 It was meant to be... don't you think?

I am also searching for a pair of boots and I hope to get a great buy like you did. Joycee..."Happy Thanksgiving" to you and your loved ones.
