I find, to my surprise, that I'll be returning to school this fall. Any extra time that I have I want to spend with my loved ones (both human and 2 canines), as well as write and do artwork, so I've decided to prep as much food as I can beforehand and freeze it. I've called it 'The Blitz' :)MWebsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09131562124887849950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466688981552322075.post-30547803388552728362010-06-29T08:08:14.497-05:002010-06-29T08:08:14.497-05:00Homemade ice cream is one of my most favorite thin...Homemade ice cream is one of my most favorite things about summer. Last year I posted a recipe for vanilla ice cream on my blog (http://okgranny.blogspot.com/2009/07/national.html). It's the best vanilla ice cream recipe that I've come across. Can't wait to try the one you posted today. It looks incredible!Oklahoma Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10053304659210754009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466688981552322075.post-77698665223526915012010-06-29T07:49:00.176-05:002010-06-29T07:49:00.176-05:00~the love affair of ice cream runs deep in our fam...~the love affair of ice cream runs deep in our family too...always a 1/2 gallon stocked waiting to be eaten...my fav is french vanilla with blueberries...oh me oh my...but you little recipe may hav eme change my mind! sounds as if you will be having a grand 4th with your family...all my best...warm wishes and brightest blessings~brandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16319756453755628466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466688981552322075.post-53605481426395311482010-06-29T07:25:32.987-05:002010-06-29T07:25:32.987-05:00Oh my Joycee you sure conjured up happy memories ...Oh my Joycee you sure conjured up happy memories for me with your icecream post. I lived with my Grandparents as a kid and we lived 3 doors down from Nell's Dairy Bar. My Grandpa would walk me over and we'd get our treats...a small soft icecream for my Nana and Grandpa and a large caramel dipped cone for me OR a large soft icecream cone with sprinkles...oh my my mouth is watering as I write this! Such happy memories and a much simpler time back in the 60's. I still like my icecream though and now after reading your post I think I'm going to whip us up some for the 4th. Thanks for the memories Joycee...have a wonderful day! So delicious, and these 95 degree days we are having require that we have a lot of ice cream in the freezer :) Stay cool.Marjoriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15015642512286126041noreply@blogger.com
