Weather Report

Ben here...well, the snow is still hanging around and we have a chance for more tonight and tomorrow. This is getting old. I am considering a move at this point to somewhere warmer, Figi would be nice. I know for a fact that we have airline miles that would make this possible...I heard Mom talking about it. I can't think of a thing that would keep me here.

Well, maybe I would miss my good friend Ringo. He lives across the road from me and comes to visit almost everyday. I share my dog biscuits with him since he's my buddy.

I helped Dad shovel the driveways.

It's a slow process.

I sit and wait patiently.

One shovel, two shovel, three shovel....you get the idea

I move forward as the snow "disappears" from the sidewalk...

Finally, progress!

Just a little more and I can reach my favorite potty place in the yard.

What's taking him so long???

hmmph...humans move so slow!

  4. Joycee, Ben reminds me so much of my beloved Goldie. She's been gone now over two years, but I still miss her like crazy. She, too, was a bit on the rotund side, and would get snow clods in her paws when she'd have to go outside in the winter. Cocker spaniel (mixes) are the best! Along with terriers and Aussie Shepherds and German Shepherds . . . aw, heck, I just LOVE DOGS.

  5. Maybe your human was just wanting for 'an encouraging word' (or bark!) from you!

  6. What kind of a dog is Ben?? He is beautiful I love that breed and don't see it very often.

The pictures cracked me up - my little dog does the same thing. Sits and waits for her favorite spot - ha ha.

OOOHHHH hope you get to got to Figi or somewhere equally as fabulous!

  7. Tell your dad to consider investing in a snow blower! We LOVE ours here.

We're getting snow this afternoon/evening too - - - but it's not anywhere near being as deep as yours yet.

  8. Oh Ben! Don't your human realize that you need more room to run and play and do your business than that!

  12. Thanks for all the great comments on Ben's post today! Wanted to answer some of the questions...
Sandy and Keetha- Where we live on the side of a mountain, a snow blower would be impossible to manuver. Our driveways are almost vertical! It took Jerry a couple hours of hard work to get the ice and snow off. This has been an unusually snowy winter for us, we are lucky if we get one good snow.
Judi, Cheri and Julie- Ben is a Cocker Spaniel and I agree they are a great breed of dog! He was a rescue dog from CockerPaws. I'm afraid he's not only fluffy...he's FAT! He does take thyroid meds so that's the excuse we give!
