Happy May Day everyone- hope you have some sunshine in store for today where ever you live! Last week was a hard one for many parts of the south, flooding and storms took their toll on several states. Friday when I drove along Old Prairie Creek Road, these two guys were fishing way back in our cove. Beaver Lake is a muddy mess right now, the lake actually covered the road that goes back to our house a couple days last week. Prairie Creek feeds into the lake and normally it's just a trickle. You might see someone trying their luck from the bank, but with the lake levels so high the two bodies of water are now one.  These guys took advantage to fish somewhere they normally could not reach. Bass fishermen see life as one adventure after another, always thinking that big fish is just one throw away. I know, we have that gene in our family! Jerry and grandson#2 "wet their line" Saturday morning off the dock, but didn't have any luck. Sometimes fishing has nothing to do with catching fish. Sometimes it's all about being outside in the fresh air and sunshine, a the perfect way to recharge our batteries! Plug yourself in somewhere today and do just that!

  2. I love fishing. I haven't been in years, but my grandmother taught me to fish and I think I would welcome a fishing trip about now!
