I still love looking at the moon and stars as I fall asleep. I can get totally lost in my thoughts, remove myself from whatever worries I've had that day and for all practical purposes, I'm 10 again.
It's good to escape to make believe, to think of the things from past and present that bring a smile to your face.
I hope I never get tired of jumping in puddles...

...or running thorough sprinklers.

I hope I never get bored with dressing up and having a tea party,
or licking the icing out of the bowl!
I hope I never forget how first love felt,

...or the deliciousness of holding a Grandbaby!
Because I love taking the road less traveled...
and early morning moments, I'm pretty sure I'm going to love the next stage of life.
Retirement... it can't come soon enough!
Hubby retired 2 years ago and loves it more everyday. the only problem he sees, he worked less and made more money at the "real" job.
ReplyDeleteI think that will be our only problem too... but you know it will be worth it to have down time finally!
DeleteOhhhh, some beautiful photos! I must say I'm enjoying retirement; getting to do what I want, when I want, etc. Can't say I miss anything about "working in the real world" except a bigger paycheck.
ReplyDeleteLot's of encouraging thoughts here, we are looking forward to a time that we can finally call our own!
DeleteI already think of retirement! lol Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeletePinterest sure makes it easy to find the perfect picture for a post! Saturday night's SuperMoon had me daydreaming... or I mean nightdreaming!
DeleteWonderful post and Happy retirement!
ReplyDeleteWe still have a couple... maybe a little more than that to go but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, I think it's SUNSHINE!
DeleteJust do it...ASAP ! You will love it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! First on the list is travel I think and sleeping late... if we can!
DeleteHubby can't wait... if they don't kill him at work first. Just a few more months.
ReplyDeleteExactly, work has a way of doing that! By the time Friday rolls around we are both exausted anymore.
DeleteLove the post! I can't wait until we can retire....but we still have ten more years.
ReplyDeleteSome say it's the end but I don't think of it as that, it's just another stage of our lives and one we will be able to relax and enjoy!
