Every morning I call my Mother-in-law to check on them. At nearly 90, they still live on their own about 20 miles away in Fayetteville. They enjoy good health but like others their age, a mishap can happen in the blink of an eye. They are fiercely independant and appreciate the call but rarely need assistance. Amazing!
My sister-in-law lives in another state and we talk at least once a week, just to catch up on gossip. Not exactly gossip, we usually run the government officials over the coals and say how we would fix healthcare and the economy. It you'd like to hear some of those opinions, just let me know!
When I talked to her today, she said she just got off the phone with a friend in South Dakota. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping below zero and the north wind is increasing. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.
She got me too!
Funny!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I wonder how people who live in the far north can take that cold.
I didn't see that one coming. Thanks for the laugh this morning!

ReplyDeleteI don't think I could take that much snow! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhen people around me hear I love winter, they think I'm crazy.. My sister lives in the South and she is constantly working in her yard. raking, mowing, weeding. Here in the North you can put on hold all the outside work except the snow..removal.. Which is not too bad if you own a snow blower.
ReplyDeleteYour blog just made me laugh so hard, my husband came in from watching his TV to see what was so funny. He smiled and left me to my blog reading.
Watching TV turns your mind to mush...On my computer I have a little post it note it says "I love my computer Because~~~My friends live in IT.
Thanks for your blog~ it brings me much joy and it doesn't turn my brain to mush..
