"You're in a heap o' trouble, boy!"
Today's paper had an update for us on the snakebite at Walmart that I wrote about HERE. It seems the two boys that had the bright idea of hoaxing a snake bite at Walmart's garden center are now facing jail time. And because they were so schmart, they talked about it on Facebook first. His text...

America uses Facebook like sticky notes these days. Status reports on many walls are what we ate, what we did, how we feel about things from politics to someone took our parking spot at Walmart. So it made sense, to Darrell and his other brother Darrell.
When they showed the video (you have to click the link since it's from 40/29 tv channel here), I told my husband it just didn't add up? He dropped to the floor of the garden center, a stones' throw away from where he had supposedly stomped the life out of a copperhead. I mean even if you were absolutely sure it was dead... maybe another snake buddy was waiting under a pot of petunias to bite you again. I'd run like the blazes inside to tell someone I had been bitten and needed to go to the hospital. That's another thing, he didn't really want to go to the hospital...when they took him, he didn't have puncture wounds.
Not the first time that Walmart has been the target of get rich schemes. This time

I was going to make a really snarky comment, that could have caused us both a world of hurt. I rethought it! You can thank me, later. All I will say is... some people are always trying to get something for nothing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they are just low life lazy guys trying to make a fast buck? Sure sounds like it to me! We had somebody here who said they killed a COUGAR, pictures & all & it was a hoax!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteLOL thats crazy...but I did see a rat as I left Walmart the other day..it was just walking right up along side the building! ;D
ReplyDeleteThat is just about the craziest stunt I've heard lately!
ReplyDeleteJoycee -- the link wouldn't work on my computer (could be my security settings). Glad their ruse was caught. No rats, or snakes, at my Wal-Mart that I know of. Joni
ReplyDeleteNow, I have to tell a few people that the story I passed along was a hoax! I could just smack people who do these things! I hope they do face jail time.
ReplyDeleteI hate when people do this kind of thing, I hadn't heard of it. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteJoycee,
ReplyDeleteI only have one thing to say about that!
"Dumb de dumb-dumb!"
